Lumbopelvic Dissociation
Переглядів 1,8 тис.2 роки тому
Lumbopelvic Dissociation is problematic for most people because they don't possess the ability to separate low back motion from hip motion. This lack of control will affect trunk stability, hamstring length and the hip flexors. In this video, Mitch Hauschildt, MA, ATC, CSCS will present several easy exercises to improve and promote lumbopelvic dissociation.

Irradiation Through Vibration
Переглядів 1165 років тому
There are a number of ways that we can prime and activate the nervous system to improve movement and performance. The law of irradiation tells us that when you load up the extremities, you get a radiating effect of increased proximal stability. In this case, we are using vibration to create the load and stimulate the nervous system.

Neurofacilitation Seminar Explainer Video
I’ve got severe foot drop ,due to my back I started using tape last week because getting an AFO is going nowhere and my husband and I can tell a difference already!
Is the posture (leg position) shown in the video for left knee injury or right one? Or should we do both while we had operation only on left knee. Appreciate your reply.
Thank you for your video, for how long can you wear it?
Could you take a shot from the other side. Not sure I get this right. .
gracias
So glad I found you! Don’t know why I didn’t think of using ktape for drop foot!! I have MS as well
Didn't understand what he said anchor was for. Could someone please tell me if you understood. Very good video.
Thank you for the exercise I had a stroke about 8 years ago and I tried to do the exercise and I can my leg is too weak and I got a foot drop
Very helpful video indeed, thank you so much. It's not for me, it's one of my clients... thank you again!
🥰🥰🥰
inaudible. use a mic!
Please could you tell me what is the maximum length of time, whilst mobilising, should this be kept on? Thank you.
No more than 1 or 2 minutes. It shouldn't tingle or cause pain from blood flow restriction.
Cant see what your doing
Nice demonstration 👏👏
Very helpful video.. Thank you so much
Please post a different angle so we can see exactly what to do.. Also does this lift the toes up so they dont drag?
Mitch, please send me this video! I want to add it to your current series as well.
Thanks for the info MS Brother 💪🏽 I wish you the best in your journey! This disease can be ugly to us!
Best afo "turbo med" changed my life
You really should’ve put it at a different angle so we can see all of it
In Phase 1 (Part 1) of this knee rehab with the same client, her left knee needed rehab. The right leg was weight bearing for the exercises.
Looks like something I need and can do. Thanks.
Is this something that can be self guided?
this worked well for me and there was a 'pop' which gave me relief deep in the trapezius/ thoracic area which did not come from using my massage gun and trigger point therapy. Had a stuck thoracic I think.
Great Video Mitch, I have sent you an email
Mitch, thank you so much for sharing this method on here. It has been a lifesaver. I have drop foot from damaged nerves and have almost no dorsiflexion control in one foot. I combine this method with another taping method to provide needed ankle stability for myself, which I think also provides even more lift for my foot. While this isn't quite as good as using my AFO (I still have to make an effort to make sure my foot doesn't drop down while walking), it is really nice not having to wear said AFO all the time, such as for when I want to wear a dress, go swimming, or just don't want to use it.
How are you feeling now ? Did your nerve get better?shat nerve did you get damaged? My were perineal nerve. Please let me know how you getting on. I have foot drop now for 2months.
Hello can you please show if where to place the tap if we puting the tape for the first toe drop?
Could you please have a camera on what your doing? Thanks
Looking to deal with chronic calf and ankle tightness, which product is best for me?
Where do we get this tape from
Rocktape.com
Really excellent video and exercises!
Great Video Mitch. I’m will be putting this in the toolbox.
What type of tape is that and where do you get it? Also, I appreciate him saying that he deals with MS too. To see someone teaching who can physically relate is intriguing.
The tape is Rocktape from Rocktape.com
Good
Have had foot drop since I was 12 yrs old. Had Gillian Barre Syndrome. This the best technique I have seen. Thank You so much.
I would consider carrying some other brands as well. I think more people would be interested in buying at a more affordable price point. I highlight my favorite one right in the affordable category here, and compared it against Normatec. It is called Speed Hound. www.thomasgerlach.com/2019/04/speed-hound-recovery-boots-review-vs.html
Can I do this over a hairy leg?
If still needed Clip hair with scissors not razor.

I have no idea why I now have foot drop my right foot. Wtf!
Me as well. Woke up in the morning on 2.9.2020 and foot drop!!
Venu Doddavarapu start researching, kinetic exercises, peritoneal pinching etc etc. I did all sorts of exercises on it and fixed mine. Main one was lay on floor and use a belt around bottom of foot and pull that leg back as far as you can and straight at knee. I’m sorry I cannot link all videos I found. But mainly....keep at it and keep searching. Don’t let it be.
Same here !! Since June 2020... footdrop. My foot has improved since ... but I still need support (taping, prosthesis). I was super sporty ... hiking bike racing ...
It doesn't work the coupon in the online page of Normatec. Could you give me a new coupon?
Hello fellow MS Warrior
Thank you so much for sharing your technique. I love that you use this for your own drop foot issues, it means so much more because you have ms yourself. 😍 you know what you’re talking about and you know how it feels! I’m going to try this today once I have figured out which side I need to tape it to. Isn’t it weird how I try and ignore the bits that are wrong with me, I couldn’t tell you which way my foot drops first. I’ll have to be brave and pay attention in order to make it better 😛 ignore the haters, for every one muppet, you might have helped 20 silent watchers 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 thank you again x
purplepearlpod have u tried it ??
I go to the VA.. she did not use the "tab" but I am going to try your way once this tape falls off! GOOD INFO friend! Yours was the first video on the google that popped up! Keep it up!
I JUST started using it last week for my foot drop/MS.. my walking is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! I will never not have this on me. I LOVE IT!
Thanks for the feedback!
I created my tape for foot drop 9yrs ago!! An Yessss it's awesome help🙌🙌🙌
Hey -- thanks! I am a runner who has recently been diagnosed with MS . My drop foot starts after about two miles running (which basically means that nobody knows what to do with me in most instances), I think that it is related to heat intolerance. I have ankle strengthening exercises from a PT and I have an appointment to get an assessment for a running AFO, but I'm sure going to try this! Much appreciated.
I totally get it. I was diagnosed with MS 7 years ago, thus my interest in this topic. At the time, I was able to run about 3/4 of a mile before getting drop foot. Now I can go about 2 1/2 without any tape and more like 3 1/2 miles with tape. I am a firm believer in challenging your nervous system and it has made a huge difference for me and those that I have consulted with. Things like single leg activities, vibration platforms, and total body movements over and over will help you improve that 2 miles to 6 or 8 or maybe even more if you want. It is a difficult diagnosis to hear, but you have a lot going for you and this can be managed well!!
@@MaximumTraining Thanks for the encouragement! I am trying the taping today:)
Couldn't see anything you did except apply tape on the inside above her ankle...but thanks for the effort.
I've been using tape! 9yrs an it's awesome! My foot drop took my driving ability ! But my mom came up wit the tape idea Ben back driving every since an walking better.🙌🙌🙌
Thank you!! I have fought ms for 19 years. I nearly caved into getting an AFO (three years after my PT recommended it). Thank you so much for providing an alternative!
your annoying dub step intro lost you a view and subscriber .
bye then!
gee ..your insight is amazing.
